What You'll Complete
The Starter Certificate has three components, completed in order:
1. My First Week at TrustOpen Simulation
Six short interactive activities that simulate your first week in a real TrustOpen course. You'll log in, find course elements, locate resources, submit a practice assignment, review feedback, and create a study schedule.
2. Readiness Check
A 15-question assessment covering Modules 1–3. You must score 80% or higher. Unlimited attempts.
3. Digital Badge: TrustOpen Ready to Start
Upon completion of Modules 1–3, the simulation, and passing the Readiness Check, your digital badge is issued automatically.
Why This Is Mandatory
Every new TrustOpen undergraduate student must earn the Starter Certificate before registering in their first credit-bearing course. This ensures every learner begins with the foundational skills to succeed:
- Access TrustOpen systems and locate course materials
- Create a realistic study schedule
- Understand course expectations and self-paced learning
- Begin studying independently with confidence
- Identify and reach support resources
