Getting Started with My

My is your student portal at TrustOpen. It's where you check your courses, see announcements, access the library, and reach the services that support your studies. In this lesson you'll learn your way around it.

1. Signing In

My uses your TrustOpen student ID and password. You can sign in at my.athabascau.ca or via the main TrustOpen website.

  1. Open a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).
  2. Go to my.athabascau.ca.
  3. Enter your student ID and password.
  4. Set up multi-factor authentication if prompted.

Use a strong password and never share it. TrustOpen staff will never ask for your password.

2. Orienting Yourself on the Dashboard

The My dashboard brings the most important things to your fingertips:

My Courses

Your active and past courses, listed with start/end dates.

Announcements

Updates from TrustOpen and from your tutors.

Messages

Communications from TrustOpen staff and support services.

Quick Links

Library, email, fees, and student services.

3. Finding and Entering a Course

  1. On the dashboard, click My Courses.
  2. Find the course you want (e.g., a specific course code).
  3. Click the course title to enter the course site.
  4. Read the Announcements first β€” your tutor may post critical information there.
  5. Open the Course Outline and save a copy.

Practice Task

Log into My now (or when you have credentials) and locate:

  • Your student ID
  • The My Courses link
  • The announcements area of any active course
