Module overview

Module 5 applies course principles to writing, communication, creative work, workplaces, professional activities, personal planning, consumer research, and everyday decision-making. You will design complete human-governed workflows rather than evaluate isolated outputs. Each workflow should begin with a legitimate purpose, use authorized information and sources, define a bounded AI role, preserve human approval and service, count verification and hidden work, and include correction, escalation, fallback, and stopping.

Writing and communication

Use VOICE to preserve audience fit, accuracy, accessibility, language, authorship, source rights, disclosure, and accountable approval.

Workplace practice

Use WORKS to examine purpose, information, service, productivity, worker participation, job redesign, capability, and governance.

Everyday life

Use LIFE to evaluate planning, consumer information, professional boundaries, companions, relationships, well-being, and personal limits.

Module principle: Generation speed is not net benefit. Count preparation, verification, correction, hidden work, effects on people, capability, relationships, and the continuing need for accountable human decisions.

Module learning outcomes

By the end of Module 5, you should be able to:

  1. Design an accountable AI-supported writing or communication workflow from purpose and sources through review, approval, disclosure, and correction.
  2. Evaluate accuracy, voice, audience fit, plain language, accessibility, translation, authorship, and source rights.

  12. Prepare and justify a final recommendation based on total human and organizational outcomes.

Unit 16 · Chapter 16

Generative AI in Everyday Life

Assess planning, consumer and travel information, professional boundaries, companions, digital well-being, no-AI zones, and personal limits through LIFE.

Week 9: Unit 14 and the beginning of Unit 15

    Define information, permissions, verification, referral, no-AI zones, disengagement, and personal boundaries.
  • Complete Assignment 4.
    Integrate the relevant course frameworks, verification, information controls, responsibility, incidents, monitoring, fallback, and final recommendation.
  • Consolidate and transition.
    Complete the module check and prepare for discipline-specific practice, governance, emerging systems, and HUMAN integration in Module 6.
